New Year. New Beginnings

The start of a new year always brings with it the potential for new and important beginnings. It is the time of year when many persons reflect on the year just passed and what changes if any they will make to their daily lives.

The Mothers‘ Union of Grand Cayman is no exception.

This year we have modernised the way in which we minister.

The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic made us aware of new and different ways to minister. Lockdowns and isolation protocols drew us closer together as we ministered to others and to ourselves via Zoom

We took our parenting programme virtual by meeting with our parents via Zoom. We also started a podcast where we spoke to parents as they went about their daily lives.

This year we have gone a bit further and established our website. A one stop shop where we can share our thoughts via this blog and where parents can download and listen to our podcast or join us in Evening Prayers.

Finally after serving as Branch President for the past 6 years we say farewell to Sis Karen Williams as Branch President. Taking up the mantle will be Sis Marcia Atherley who will lead the Mothers Union for the next 3 years.

We pray God’s guidance for Sis Marcia on this journey.
